Senator Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South), who was on Monday taken into custody by officials of the National Correctional Service from Kuje, FCT on the orders of a Federal High Court in Abuja, will appeal the verdict on Tuesday.

Counsel to Ndume, Marcel Oru, said the appeal against the remand order will be filed on Tuesday before the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

#EndSARS campaigner, Moyinoluwa Olowoyo, has been released by the Ekiti State Police Command after 30 days in detention. Olowoyo was arrested by the police on October 20, 2020, and later transported to Abuja where he spent a week before he was taken back to Ado Ekiti.

The trial of a company and nine persons who allegedly stole N451m from Dangote Sugar Refinery Limited was stalled on Monday at the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja due to the absence of the prosecuting counsel for the police Special Fraud Unit, Emmanuel Jackson. The defendants in the case are a businessman, Habib Mande, and his company, El-Habib Property Nigeria Limited; as well as eight others, said to be Dangote employees.
